Fort romaine et Vicus

« Riegel – Romains et missiles » – voilà le titre de l’exposition permanente contrastée dans le musée archéologique primé dans toute la région : en plus de 300 trouvailles originales de l’époque romaine, de nombreuses pièces d’exposition sur la technologie de la propulsion aérospatiale vous attendent. Il y a environ 2000 ans, Riegel am Kaiserstuhl était le centre administratif romain de la région, pour ainsi dire le « Fribourg de l’Antiquité ». Il existe de nombreuses preuves qui en témoignent. Dans le musée et sur le circuit archéologique vous pouvez suivre l’histoire remarquable de Riegel am Kaiserstuhl, entre autres par le temple de Mithra partiellement reconstitué.
