Musée régional « Römervilla »

C’était déjà en 1893 qu’on découvrit des restes d’un bâtiment romain pendant des travaux aux conduites d’eau dans cette aire. En 1983 lors des travaux de construction on a trouvé l’angle ouest d’une grande villa romaine avec un bassin en face. Dans l’abri qui fut construit sur les murs d’une hauteur de plus de 2m pour protéger la villa romaine, il y a un musée intéressant avec des objets archéologiques de la région. Ces objets découverts permettent d’éclairer la vie quotidienne des gens pendant l’époque romaine entre 80 et 280 après Jésus-Christ. Dans le Landkreis Lörrach ce musée est unique en son genre. Lors du réaménagement du musée en 2011, l’association « Histoire locale » a mis l’accent sur le fait que le musée est aussi intéressant pour les enfants et les adolescents.
